CMF, on the 23rd of April, 2025 paid a visit to a small community known as Wokumagbe in the Ada East area of the Greater Accra region. This visit was in answer to a request by a Teacher in their District Assembly school who has singlehandedly rescued several girls from child labour and trafficking activities in the area. He enrolled these girls in the school where he teaches and has put together an all-female football team as a social intervention for the girls.
Decision:
CMF has decided to collaborate with Fafali Organisation to assist in sponsoring these girls through school and support their football team with resources to enable them develop their careers while getting basic education. CMF will donate periodically dignity packs to the girls in the basic school to control the tendency of absenteeism from school during their menses. To sustain this project, CMF is collaborating with Amazing Girls Foundation to supply reusable sanitary pads to 120 girls in the Wokumagbe District Assembly Basic School on the 28th of May, 2025. This will be our maiden donation of dignity packs to the school. One dignity pack costs GHS100.00.
